Scott’s Body Shop Company Story

Scott Peterson never imagined his hobby of restoring old cars in his driveway would one day turn into a thriving community-based business. When Scott ran out of space at his house for his car restoration hobby he decided to rent a small space in downtown Mapleton. While Scott was there working on his own cars people started stopping by and asking for help with their vehicles, and six months later in June of 1983 Scott’s Body Shop was founded. Six weeks later, Tom VanRossum joined Scott as his first team member and has been with the business ever since.

Scott’s Body Shop’s team has training and certifications fromI-Car, ASE, and PPG. Scott believes that continuous training provides the best quality repairs and services for our customers.
